It's Serrano's first fight in Puerto Rico in nearly three years, so the atmosphere at San Juan's Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot will be electric.

Serrano is already assured of legendary status, which the 35-year-old bolstered by abandoning her WBC belt when the sanctioning body refused to greenlight her trailblazing bout with Danila Ramos in October. That was the first women's boxing match since 2007 to follow 12 rounds of three minutes, and Serrano vs Meinke will adopt the same format.

Amanda Serrano will look to defend her WBA, WBO and IBF featherweight belts in a 12-round main event against Nina Meinke in front of a sold-out crowd in her native Puerto Rico.

With Jake Paul serving as the co-headliner, it figures to generate plenty of interest as Serrano looks to improve on her 46-2 (30 KOs) record.

Since teaming with Jake Paul's MVP promotions, Serrano's star has risen. She earned a $1 million payday in an instant classic bout with Amanda Taylor, elevating the stock of a woman who has won world titles in seven different weight classes.

A seven-division world champion, Serrano is on a four-fight win streak. In 2023, she beat Erika Cruz to become the undisputed featherweight champion, beat Heather Hardy in a rematch, and last fought in October, beating Danila Ramos. The Ramos fight was the first 12 three-minute round contest for female fighters since 2007. Serrano eventually relinquished the WBC title because the governing body refuses to sanction 12 three-minute rounds in women’s boxing.

"The Real Deal" has co-main evented several fight cards involving Paul, the leader of Most Valuable Promotions. Paul just beat his first pro boxer in Andre August, knocking him out. This time, Serrano is the lead attraction, with Paul in the co-main event slot.

Meinke turned pro in 2016. The German won the European featherweight title in 2019 against Helene Lascombe. She lost against Sarah Mahfoud in 2022 for the IBF featherweight title and has since won six in a row. "The Brave" last fought in October, beating Laura Ledezma.

Puerto Rico’s Amanda Serrano is a force to be reckoned with. With an impressive record and a penchant for knockout victories, she has established herself as one of the most dominant female boxers in the world. Her aggressive style, lightning-fast combinations, and ring intelligence make her a formidable opponent.

Nina Meinke, hailing from Germany, brings her own set of skills to the ring. While her knockout ratio may not be as high as Serrano’s, Meinke possesses technical prowess and a solid defensive game. Her ability to adapt during a fight and capitalize on openings makes her a worthy adversary.

Both fighters have a lot at stake in this bout. For Serrano, a victory would solidify her status as a multi-division champion and potentially set up bigger fights in the future. Meinke, on the other hand, aims to prove that she belongs among the elite and can upset the odds.

There are some fun storylines here, but it's hard to see it resulting in a competitive boxing match. Serrano has shown no signs of slowing down. She may have lost to Katie Taylor but she has reeled off four consecutive wins since then.

Don't expect this one to be particularly close. Meinke is a good fighter but taking on Serrano is a different challenge from what she's seen in the ring to this point and the headliner isn't about to put on a bad performance in her home country. Meinke's last fight took place days before that Serrano-Taylor showdown as she was defeated by then-IBF female featherweight world champion Sarah Mahfoud, who went on to be toppled by Serrano in September that year.
